Quill Loop

Too Long; Didn't Read (TL;DR):

We are writers, not data brokers. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use Google Analytics to harvest your browsing habits. We use specific third-party tools to make the app work (like AI, backups, and payment processing), and we explicitly chose partners who respect your privacy and do not use your unpublished books to train their public models.

1. What We Collect

To make Quill Loop work, we collect the basics: your email address, your pen name, and the text you type into the editor (your manuscripts, loops, and settings).

2. The "Anti-Snooping" Analytics

We hate invasive tracking as much as you do. We do not use Google Analytics. To understand basic website traffic (like page views and where our users are finding us), we use privacy-first, cookie-less analytics platforms hosted on our own servers. We track aggregate trends, not your personal browsing behavior.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We use specialized, secure third-party infrastructure to power Quill Loop. We only share the minimum amount of data required for these tools to function:

  • Groq (AI Services): We use Groq to power our generative AI features. Groq explicitly does not use your prompts, inputs, or manuscripts to train their generative AI models.
  • Backblaze B2 (Backups): We use encrypted cloud storage to securely back up our databases so your work is safe.
  • Stripe (Payments): We do not see or store your credit card information. All payments are handled securely by Stripe.
  • Twilio (SMS): If you use our mobile SMS feature, we use Twilio to route your text messages to your Quill Loop desk.
  • OVHcloud (Hosting): Our application and primary databases are hosted on secure VPS infrastructure provided by OVH.

4. Account Deletion

If you decide Quill Loop isn't for you, you have the right to be forgotten. If you request account deletion, we will permanently wipe your account, manuscripts, and associated data from our active databases.
